2 FM 1488 widening through Magnolia Project: FM 1488 is being widened from two to four lanes with a continuous left turn lane between FM 1774 to west of FM 149. The contractor for this project is James Construction Group. Update: According to a June 3 media update from TxDOT, this project is 58% complete. • Timeline: June 2022-third quarter 2027 • Cost: $48.3 million • Funding source: state funds
3 FM 1488 median Project: The project will build a raised median along the stretch of FM 1488 between Mostyn Drive and I-45. ISI Contracting Inc. is the contractor. Update: The project is 73% complete, as of the most recent update available from TxDOT. • Timeline: November 2023-second quarter 2026 • Cost: $10.96 million • Funding sources: state, federal funds
