PEARLAND Founded in 1894, the city of Pearland went on to experience rapid population growth in recent decades. That trend continues as the city saw a 15.41% population growth over the ve-year period of 2016-21. The diverse city is located 20-30 minutes from downtown Houston is located primarily in Brazoria County with parts in Harris and Fort Bend counties.
FRIENDSWOOD Founded in 1895, Friendswood is a small city located primarily in Galveston and Harris counties. Friendswood’s percent population growth from 2016-21 is comparable to the state’s overall, and the city’s median income increased signicantly in that period. The city has its own school district, Friendswood ISD, and has some Clear Creek ISD schools.
