Friendswood ISD reviews $163M bond proposal Friendswood ISD’s Citizen Advisory Committee presented its $163 million bond recommendation to the board of trustees at its May 12 meeting. The board has until August to call for an election. However, board members gave early support of the priorities presented within the proposal. The big picture The CAC met six times dating back to earlier this year to discuss priorities, take facility tours and curate a recommendation. If approved as presented, the bond package would raise the district’s tax rate for scal year 2026-27, which could result in an annual tax increase of between $110 and $140 for a $100,000 valuation of a home, CAC documents show.
