Wood said the development has conrmed several businesses, including a supermarket, a bakery, a tea house, a Korean barbecue restaurant and a sushi spot. “I don’t know how many businesses there will be,” Wood said. “Some may be small or big.” Citing demographic studies, Wood said he felt the spot in Pearland was perfect to meet the needs of a large Asian community in town. Wood said he expects the smaller building to be completed in June or July and the second, larger building to be ready in September or October. Once those are complete, businesses will start moving in around the end of the year.
