Housing development to use Round Rock water Round Rock will add 76 acres of property near the city’s border with Georgetown to its water utility service area. The property is part of a 230-acre, in-city municipal utility district that will bring about 900 homes to the area. The big picture Round Rock Public Works Director Michael Thane said because the MUD is within Round Rock city limits, it made sense to transfer the area’s water service from the Jonah Water Special Utility District. Round Rock documents show the transfer of water service is “mutually advantageous.” City council moved to approve the measure April 9. Remember this? Last June, City Council approved the creation of an in-city MUD on 230 acres of property near the northwest corner of University Boulevard and
320 apartments to be built near Liberty Hill A new apartment complex will be built near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and 183A Toll, next to Costco, after Liberty Hill City Council approved the site plan in late February. Zooming in Located at 250 Gracie Lane, Georgetown will provide water utility service to the 320-unit development, while wastewater service will be provided by Liberty Hill.

CR 110. The tracts of land were rezoned to SF3, one of the city’s single-family zoning designations. How it works Planning and Development Services Director Brad Dushkin told council members in June that the MUD is a funding model that the developer uses to nance the construction of homes in the project with bonds. Because the MUD will be located within city limits, its residents will pay taxes to both the utility district and city, he said.
