Officials invest in upgrades, renovation projects at city facilities Projects to upgrade and update city-owned facilities are underway across McKinney. The gist The projects, including some outlined in the city’s Capital Improvements Program, look to improve publicly accessible spaces such as the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library and the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Other facility upgrades target the city’s operational facilities, including the McKinney Public Safety building and the city’s Public Works South campus. These five projects will in total include over $150 million in investments to local facilities, according to projects cost estimates from city officials.

1 McKinney Public Safety Building expansion and renovation Project: Renovation work to adapt the 90,000-square-foot building to serve as a headquarters facility exclusively for the McKinney Police Department. 2 Public Works South Campus renovation
