The Baca Center offers several types of bridge games for all abilities. Derived from the game of Whist, all games have 4 players, two against two. Stop by the Baca Center to play various types of bridge including duplicate, evening and bridge for fun. All groups get the opportunity to learn or improve their bridge playing skills. *Advanced play and must have a partner. Ages 50+. Participants can learn the game or improve upon their skills. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start time to ensure your place at a table. Latecomers may not get to play. Ages 50+. It has several distinctive features: the cribbage board and a separate hand counting for the dealer. It has been characterized as “Britain’s national card game” and the only one legally playable on licensed premises without requiring local authority permission. This program is open to those wishing to learn the game or those wishing to improve their skills. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time so groups can be formed. Ages 50+. Dates Days Times Location Fee Ongoing Thurs. 12:30 - 3:45pm Baca Free for Members (No program on 11/23) HEARTS Participants and their partner will want to get as few points as possible in this game. Hearts is structured to be played with four players and is not difficult to learn. Like other fun trick-taking card games, the rules of the game are not complicated. Even though the rules are simple there is a righteous range of scientific sport in this “evasion type” card game. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time so groups can be formed. Ages 50+. Dates Days Times Location Fee Ongoing Wed. 9:30am - 12:00pm Baca Free for Members LEARN TO PLAY – 24-10102LTP Join our Baca Center members for our Learn to Play, which is instruction on how to play Racehorse Canasta. The Learn to Play is FREE for members and $5 for non-members. Space is limited, so register a week in advance to ensure enough instructors. All instructors are avid volunteer players of the game.
