Gosling Road Segment 3 widening

A project is in the nal stage of the design phase to upgrade Gosling Road to four lanes between West Rayford Road and Creekside Forest Drive. The project is expected to request autho- rization to bid in the fourth quarter of 2020, Harris County ocials said. Timeline: fourth quarter 2020-TBD Cost: TBD Funding source: Harris County Precinct 4 Gosling Road bridge across Spring Creek B Gosling Road will be upgraded to a four-lane boulevard with twin bridges across Spring Creek. The project is a joint participation project between Harris County Precinct 4 and Mont- gomery County Precinct 3. The project was in the design phase as of early October, and Harris County expects to seek authorization to bid the project in the rst quarter of 2021. 3 FM 2978 widening The project will widen FM 2978 from two to four lanes with a center turn lane from FM 1488 to south of Dry Creek in Phase 1 and from south of Dry Creek to Conroe-Hufsmith Road in Phase 2. The existing bridge over Spring Creek will also be widened. As of early October, the rst phase of the project was 53% complete; the second phase was 86% complete; and the bridge was 99% complete. Timeline: September 2018-second quarter 2021 (Phase 1), January 2018-third quarter 2020 (Phase 2), October 2018-third quarter 2020 (bridge) Cost: $21.3 million (Phase 1), $12.9 million (Phase 2), $7.6 million (bridge) Funding sources: Texas Department of Transportation, federal funds 4 Hwy. 242 overpass at FM 1314 The project will construct a grade separation along Hwy. 242 from west to east of FM 1314. This is the rst of four projects to construct an overpass at Hwy. 242 and FM 1314. The project was 78% complete as of early October. Timeline: March-September Cost: $2.4 million Funding source: Montgomery County Precinct 3 2 Rayford Road improvements planned Montgomery County Precinct 3 awarded the bid for a project to widen Rayford Road to D&W Contractors for $2.88 million. The project will widen Rayford to four lanes between an area 40 feet east of Waterbend Cove to approximately 400 feet east of Birnham Woods Drive. The proposed work includes creating two new eastbound travel lanes from Waterbend Cove to the intersection with Birnham Woods and using the existing road for the westbound lanes. The project will also include building a bridge for eastbound Rayford trac east of Spring Trails Park Drive. Construction on the project will begin in mid-October and last 360 calendar days. Timeline: October-fall 2021 Cost: $2.88 million Funding source: Montgomery County Precinct 3
1 Robinson Road widening Work on improvements at Robinson Road and I-45 was entering its nal stages in late September with the installation of ashing yellow arrows for trac turning to access the frontage roads as well as cleanup eorts, according to Montgomery County Precinct 3. The project will improve I-45 frontage road access at Woodlands Parkway and Robinson Road as well as widening Robinson at Patsy Lane to four lanes. The widening includes adding a trac signal at the Robinson overpass at I-45 and aligns lanes at the interchange. It also includes reconguring the cloverleaf at the I-45 frontage roads.
