The western segment, which spans from SH 288 to FM 865 is slated to be 100% planned by the beginning of 2027. The eastern segment, which spans from Old Chocolate Bayou Road to east of Halbert Drive is slated to be 100% planned by March 2028.
The cost Preliminary costs are about $187 million, funded 80/20 by federal and state sources, Perez said. Looking ahead Tentative letting, which is when the project will be opened for contractor bidding, for the west and eastern portions is slated for September 2027 and August 2028, respectively, Perez said.
