HISD passes $122M budget for FY 2024-25 Hutto ISD officials in June approved a $122.06 million budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year, with a projected shortfall of $3.5 million amid increased operational costs as well as what staff and offi- cials describe as inadequate state funding. According to Chief Academic and Innova- tion Officer Adelaida Olivarez, the district applied to renew two federal grants: the Every Student Succeeds Act, or ESSA, totaling $5.11 million; and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B, or IDEA-B, totaling $4.71 million. Per the district, these resources improve the quality of special education programs and ensure low-income students have a level playing field with state assessments.
