HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS MONTH

FROM NICOLE: Outdoor activities take center stage in The Woodlands in March and April, and this month we spotlight the way major sports events like Ironman Texas bring visitors and economic energy to the region. In addition to the triathlon, April will bring two golf tournaments, and The Woodlands’ sports elds are home to many local tournaments throughout the year. We look at the way these sports help to invigorate the local economy as well as how the township is looking to improve its facilities in response. Nicole Preston, GENERAL MANAGER

As the Fed continues to raise interest rates, it’s a good time to explore what that means for your long-term investment plan. For more than a decade, investors dealt with short-term interest rates near zero and investment account allocation had to account for that. Now with money market accounts yielding close to 5% there are different alternatives for investors. Come by for a visit and a review of your investment plan. We can show you how higher interest rates have affected long-term retirement income plans and what that can mean for you. MONTHLY COMMENTARY
