Plans are underway to open a new 7-Eleven convenience store across the street from the Collin County Courthouse. The plan would include a “community-driven vision” for redevelopment while identifying challenges and opportunities, according to a sta presentation. Ultimately, it could guide creation of a specic development code for development along the corridor.

McKinney Planning Manager Hayley Angel said the small area plan would likely examine the corridor north and south of downtown.
