Dripping Springs to take on superintendent search, school boundary changes in 2021

The construction of DSISD’s fth elementary school on Darden Hill Road will bring another signicant change to the district: adjusted zoning for elementary school students to take eect in the fall. The district is set to hold community input sessions Feb. 1 and Feb. 11, with a possible third meeting March 2. According to a timeline released by DSISD, the board is scheduled to review the new zones March 22 and approve them on March 29. The district’s fth elementary school is slated to nish construction and open in time for the 2021-22 school year.

Interviews and candidate proles will be private and conducted in executive session to protect the identity of applicants who may be employed at other districts. Dripping Springs ISD will have a change in school leadership this year as the district prepares to make changes to its school attendance zones. DSISD recently kicked o a search for a new superintendent following the departure of former Superintendent Todd Washburn, who resigned in October after less than a year of service. Brett Springston will continue to serve as interim superintendent as the search moves forward. The board hired third-party rm JG Consulting to assist in the search. The district will work with JG Consulting to accept community feedback
