TLEEM founded by Round Rock student begins o ering grants TLEEM, a nonprot created in Leander in 2023 by Arjun Sharda, began oering small grants funded by corporate sponsorships to young entrepreneurs in April. What you need to know Sharda, a 13-year-old who now lives in Round

Sharda said he founded TLEEM to foster mentorship, community and relationships among his peers via networking. His organization makes networking more accessible to young entrepre- neurs, he said, as Austin-area events like South by Southwest can be out of the price range for most. “It’s hard to meet new people ... without going to pricey conferences [or] pricey meetups,” he said. “This can be changed. I want people to be able to change the world by meeting new people who have relevant expertise.”

Rock, said his organization is oering micro grants to members, ranging from $25 to $100 per project. Funds will be used for initiatives like purchasing web domains or conducting research, he said, to help members get their startups o the ground. About the program TLEEM—an acronym representing Technology, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Mathematics—is a peer-mentoring organization founded by Sharda. TLEEM has since expanded globally, with 37 chapters in 11 countries. Many chapters are located in the United States, with Sharda’s organization reaching Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, Calif., and beyond.
