FEATURED IMPACT NOWOPEN On Dec. 16, Zoho Corp. announced the opening of a new 10,000-square-foot o ce in the Saengerhalle building in New Braunfels. The o ce houses 20 local employees, and the international technology company plans to expand to over 100 employees at the location, according to a press release. Saengerhalle was originally a venue for musical performances, weddings and local events before being converted into a church in 2006. The company plans to preserve the building and restore original Saengerhalle signage in a nod to the city’s history, according to the press release. “New Braunfels is ush with potential, but these people are forced to migrate to nearby metros like San Antonio and Austin with no local jobs, particularly in
the technology sector. This talent erosion doesn’t bene t the local community long term,” Zoho Chief Evangelist Raju Vegesna said in the release. “We want our employees to be able to purchase a house, be able to start a family and not have long commutes to work. New Braunfels was the perfect city for this compared to the large metros nearby.” In addition to the New Braunfels o ce and Zoho’s U.S. headquarters in Del Valle, the company is actively hiring and developing plans to establish o ces in additional locations in Texas, according to the release.

BBVA Group finalized the sale of its U.S. banking operations over the summer, according to a press release. The company will retain its U.S. presence through BBVA Securities and the New York branch. The festival takes place over four days every October as part of Texas Wine Month, and it pairs Texas-produced wines with live music. The festival is held at the Grapevine in Gruene and Gruene Hall. United Way provides funding to more than 30 local service organizations including Big Brother Big Sisters, the New Braunfels Food Bank, River City Advocacy and more.
