Victory Tap takes over historic P ugerville building

At the heart of downtown P ugerville, The Victory Tap brings together the casual family fun of a sports bar with gourmet dining options. The gist Owners Tripp Wiggins and Rob Clem opened The Victory Tap in November 2022 after decades in the restaurant and alcohol industries. While their original plan was to open a bar, the pair recognized demand for more dining options among downtown’s many bars and breweries. Patrons at the eatery can enjoy 20 beers on tap and an extensive food menu, while catching a sports game on one of the 16 TVs, playing a game of poker, or trying their luck at one of the many sweepstakes machines.
What’s on the menu Partnered with gourmet chef Ti any Newsome, Wiggins said he aimed to create a menu that would include simple sports bar staples like burgers, wings and nachos, but with more complex recipes. “You can get something simple o our menu ... what they don’t see is that every sauce is house- made, the herbs are fresh, the patty wasn’t frozen— every ingredient I went and hand-selected in the grocery store rst,” Newsome said. The background While the space has been home to several restaurants since the 1960s, Wiggins said it was originally the post o ce and grocery store in 1912.
