providers, he said. It will also allow the health care provider to expand as the community grows and its needs change. What was founded as more of a retirement-style community—which requires more orthopedic and cardio- vascular care—is seeing young families that require women’s services and pediatric care move in, Anderson said. Phases 2 and 3 of the cam- pus, planned as two additional 60,000-square-foot medical oce buildings, will be able to accommo- date these services and bring other specialities to the area, he said. The medical group has yet to establish a timeline for these future phases. Ascension’s facility will be part of the 164-acre master-planned, mixed-use community called Wolf Lakes Village, which is designed to be a European-style village. “We see Georgetown really as the next frontier for growth as you move from Travis County to Williamson [County],” Anderson said.
Making medical space Ascension Seton purchased about 12 acres of land at the future Wolf Lakes Village mixed-use development. The plan is to build on the site in three phases. Phase 1, slated to open in June, will include:
The rst of three phases of Ascension Seton’s multispecialty and outpatient facility in Georgetown is set to open in June, said Raymond Anderson, chief strategy ocer for Ascension Texas. The 60,000-square-foot building, which is under construction near the intersection of CR 265 and Wolf Ranch Parkway, will include an ambulatory surgery center, a medical oce build- ing and an outpatient imaging center. Specialties coming to Phase 1 include orthopedics, heart and vas- cular, dermatology, gastroenterology, and general surgery, Anderson said. Situated on about 12 acres, the future campus marks an expansion of Ascension’s services in Georgetown. Anderson said prior to this facility, Ascension only had a couple of primary care clinics in the area. St. David’s Georgetown advances surgical technology More surgical patients will be able to receive care at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital as the facility upgrades technology, CEO Hugh Brown said. Hospital leaders are working to bring in specialty surgeons who have previously had patients travel to Austin. “Now that we have technology equal to what is available at much larger hospitals, these surgeons are planning to keep patients in Georgetown,” Brown said in an email. This comes as St. David’s Georgetown marked its 1,000th procedure with the Da Vinci Surgical Robot in late 2022, which allows doctors to perform minimally invasive surgeries.
