Frisco Community Parade Frisco’s annual Community Parade was held Nov. 11. The parade was held to honor veterans and showcase school and community spirit. The parade’s grand marshal was Peter Burns, who is a US Army veteran and 2019 distinguished veteran of the year. The parade, which was originally a homecoming parade when Frisco was home to one high school, features floats, school marching bands, high school football teams, cheerleaders, scouts, civic organizations, youth sports teams, Frisco-based professional sports teams and local businesses. The Frisco Community Parade is a collaboration between the city of Frisco, Frisco ISD, Frisco Chamber of Commerce, and the Frisco Veterans Advisory Committee. 1 Frisco hosted its annual Community Parade on Nov. 11. 2 A local boy scout troop participated in Frisco’s Community Parade. 3 Students in the marching band participate in the annual parade.
