Fire Craft BBQ brings Texas-style eats to Kingwood

Restaurant ocials also recently added dinner hours from 5-8 p.m. on Fri- days and Saturdays with the hopes of expanding to more days in the future. What they oer Fire Craft BBQ oers a variety of meats, includ- ing prime brisket, pork spare ribs, smoked chicken, turkey breast, sausage and pulled pork. It took two years for the restaurant to perfect its sauce recipe, which uses a mustard base, Savannah Welch said. Customers can also choose from sides such as jalapeno corn spoonbread and desserts such as fresh-baked cobblers.
After a decades-long culinary career, David Welch launched Fire Craft BBQ as a catering com- pany in 2015. Since then, the restaurant opened a food truck in 2017 followed by a brick-and-mortar location in Kingwood in 2023. What’s special about it? Unlike most restaurants, Fire Craft BBQ closes at a dierent time each day depending on when the food sells out. “Our business model is to sell out every day,” said Savannah Welch, Fire Craft BBQ co-owner and David Welch’s daughter. “That way, we have the least amount of waste, and the guests have the freshest possible product.” In June, ocials completed an expansion
