Harris County breaks ground on Providence Gardens

Developer acquires 21.4 acres in City Place Developer Fein has acquired 21.4 acres in City Place, with plans to develop a multifam- ily housing community called Echo Lake, ocials announced in a Jan. 24 news release. The details Echo Lake will consist of 326 residential units comprised of apartments, ranging in size from 556-1,824 square feet, and one- to three-bedroom townhomes with garages. Ocials noted the property is situated around a 1.25-acre lake with walking, hiking and biking trails. What’s next? Construction on Echo Lake is slated for late 2024. A projected opening date had not been announced as of press time.

The Harris County Community Service Depart- ment broke ground on a single-family home development in north Houston called Provi- dence Gardens, ocials announced in a Jan. 19 news release. The details The 60-home development will be located at 16755 Ella Blvd., Houston and is funded by Commu- nity Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funds from Harris County, the Texas General Land Oce and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to the release. The project aims to provide housing for low- to moderate-income households, according to the release. Ocials noted 50%-75% of the homes will be sold to qualifying households at or below 80% of the average median income of Harris County; the remaining 25%-50% of homes will be sold at market rate.
