City begins bond-funded work on Stone Oak roads San Antonio officials and engineers met Dec. 14 at Christ Community Church to preview planned traffic improvements for Stone Oak. The background City officials will implement $5 million in road and pedestrian upgrades funded by a 2022 bond.

Turn lanes, new curbs, sidewalks, driveway approaches and drainage fixes are planned for Stone Oak Parkway at Evans Road and at Hardy Oak Boulevard, and on Evans Road from Peacemaker to Bush Middle School, officials said. Digging deeper Limited sight distance and speeding concerns on Evans prompted city staff to plan a new traffic signal and new pedestrian crossings near Bush Middle School. Construction will happen from summer 2025 to the end of 2026.
