Director of Public Works Michael Thane said the plant expansion will have a tentative completion date of this fall.

000 TOLL City to address east side erosion issues Due to severe erosion, the South Creek Channel in Round Rock requires construction work to avoid damage to nearby properties, Director of Public Works Michael Thane said. The gist The South Creek Channel encroaches upon the South Creek neighborhood in east Round Rock. Erosion of the channel will continue unless intervened, Thane said. “We do not want to impact the property lines,” he said. City Council awarded a $327,991 contract to Gage Cade Construction June 12 for the improvements, which includes installing rock riprap to stabilize the channel bank.

N Fire station planned near Ascension Seton Williamson

Round Rock will receive a new re station, the third funded by 2023 voter-approved bonds, following City Council’s approval of an architec- tural design contract for the project at its June 12 meeting. Fire Station 11 is planned for the Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital property, according to city documents. The details The new re station will follow the same design as Fire Station 1 and 10. Round Rock City Council awarded McKinney York Architects the $372,000 design contract following the rm’s work on the previous two stations. One new feature of Fire Station 11 is the addition of a police satellite oce. The oce will be about 800 square feet, Director of General Services Chad McDowell said, and will have a separate access point than the rest of the station. location for ocers to work and collaborate. One more thing Fire Station 11 will be located at the intersec- tion of A.W.
