TRANSPORTATION UPDATES Hodde Lane realignment project still in design, negotiations stage

A project to realign what many residents refer to as a dangerous S-curve along Hodde Lane in eastern Pugerville is still in the design stage as of late June, according to Hector Nieto, Travis County public informa- tion ocer. However, local ocials involved with the road realignment are work- ing to speed up the project. The project is intended to realign Hodde Lane and extends from the roadway’s intersections with Cele Road on the south end and Speidel Drive on the north end. County information shows the project’s budget to be $6.2 million. However, in mid-June Nieto said he expects that price tag to change based on delays and any future costs that may be incurred. In addition to Travis County,

Nieto said June 20 that county sta received the resolution from PfISD, and said all parties involved are working to complete the project as soon as possible. Roundabout at Town Center Drive and Puger Farm Lane in Pugerville Construction is complete on the new roundabout at Town Center Drive and Puger Farm Lane, west of Stone Hill Town Center, and the intersection is open as of June 14. The intersection was closed since construction on the roundabout began in March. Construction of the roundabout was included in the rst in a series of planned road projects in connection with Lifestyle Communities, a nearby 1,050-unit residential development.
