Montgomery ISD projects beginning from May’s $326.9M bond

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 7 Architectural rm Huckabee Architects has been chosen to design Elementary School No. 7, which was included in Proposition A of Montgomery ISD’s May bond package voters approved. The elementary school is anticipated to have a capacity of 900 students and accommodate enrollment growth in Keenan Elementary and Stewart Creek Elementary attendance zones, according to the district. The board of trustees also authorized the district to move forward with the due diligence phase July 26 for a potential site for the elementary school o FM 2854 behind Lake Creek High School. The due diligence phase includes a series of studies that will help MISD ocials determine if the location is a viable option for the elementary campus, according to a July 26 release. Bond funds allocated: $43.49 million Anticipated completion: opening ahead of the 2024-25 school year

MISD ATHLETIC COMPLEX PBK Architects was selected this summer to work on designing the upgrades to the MISD Athletic Complex across from Montgomery High School. Upgrades include renovations to the press box, elevator and turf as well as expansions of the seating capacity, restrooms, concession stands and locker rooms, according to MISD.

LAKE CREEK HIGH SCHOOL Trustees approved Pogue Construction as the construction manager at risk on July 26 for the construction of Phase 2 of Lake Creek High School, an expansion with additional labs and classrooms to accommodate 900 more students. Huckabee Architects was also selected this summer to design the expansion. Bond funds allocated: $27.88 million Anticipated completion: opening for 2024-25 year
