The nonprofit in 2021 processed 2,403 cases that included a felony offense involving children, up from 1,818 in 2020. Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas on March 30 requested $48,875 from Frisco’s Social Services and Housing Board. In total, officials said it costs about $200,000 each year to serve Frisco residents.

FRISCO Select residents in Frisco and Little Elm can now order products for delivery by air. Drone delivery company Wing, a subsidiary of Google, launched its drone delivery service for suburban homes April 7. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is the first in the U.S. with access to on-demand drone delivery, Wing stated. Orders are placed through the Wing app and can carry packages of up to 2.6 pounds. Wing is working with Walgreens to deliver health and wellness products. In addition, Wing announced it is delivering ice cream from Blue Bell Creameries. The delivery of prescription pet medications from Easyvet and first aid kits from Texas Health Resources is also planned. Marketing and Communications Manager Jacob Demmitt said

COLLIN COUNTY Municipalities and nonprofit organizations within Collin County can now apply for a share of the county’s $2 million Parks and Open Space Project Funding Assistance Program. Funding will be awarded to projects including land acquisition, trails and capital improvements for parks and open spaces located within Collin County, per a county news release. Applications for funding are due in July. The Parks Foundation Advi- sory Board will review applications and submit recommendations to the Commissioners Court in October. The program is funded through a $10 million bond proposition approved by voters in 2018. Applications are available on the county website or by emailing openspace@collincountytx.gov.
