Argyle ISD to sell $255M in bonds
Argyle ISD is moving forward with selling bonds from the 2024 and 2025 bond packages. The district’s board of trustees unanimously approved the sale of $255 million in bond funds during a July 22 meeting. This includes $155 million from the AISD’s 2024 and 2025 packages and an additional $100 million from the 2025 package. The funds will be used for instructional technology and school facilities.

According to Boles’ presenta- tion to the board, the district will lock in interest rates Aug. 5 and funds are expected to be delivered Aug. 26. a special election to select their replacement within 180 days. Board President Jenny Proznik said board members will dis- cuss next steps at the August board meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Aug. 11 at the LISD Administrative Center, which is located at 1565 W. Breaking down the bond Of the total $255 million
Trustee Buddy Bonner stepped down from the Lewisville ISD board of trustees, because he will have a family member employed by the district for the 2025-26 school year. The district’s nepotism guide- lines prohibit board members from serving if they have a second-degree relative who is employed by LISD. Looking ahead State law requires that if a school board member steps down with more than one year remaining in their term, the district must hold Lewisville ISD trustee Buddy Bonner resigns
