TxDOT narrows scope of Hwy. 71 median project The Texas Department of Transportation has agreed to update plans for its Hwy. 71 median project in Bee Cave, removing proposed medians near the Hill Country Galleria to prevent traffic exclude construction between Hamilton Pool Road and Uplands Ridge Drive.

Extension for Birrell Street progresses The city of Lakeway is planning construc- tion of a new bridge that will extend Birrell Street from its current end point at Medical Drive to Lohmans Spur, across from the Lakeway Police Department, according to city documents. At the city’s May 19 council meeting, members authorized an agreement with engineering firm Huitt-Zollars for the bridge for an amount not to exceed $575,000.
