Volunteers prepare and deliver meals, and provide social interaction. MOWMC also offers an aniMeals program, which works to provide food to the pets of seniors. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Volunteers are needed for after-school tutoring programs, service work around the Community Center and work at the center’s clothing store. The center’s food pantry is temporarily closed. 10 KEEP US FEDMONTGOMERY COUNTY PROJECT Nonprofit KUSF picks up extra food from local restaurants, catering companies, grocery stores and event planners, and delivers it to shelters, group homes and food pantries. Volunteers are needed every day of the week, usually in the morning, with commitments of 60-90 minutes at a time. Volunteers are also needed with social media, information technology, administrative and photography skills. Prospective volunteers should accompany someone on a run. Volunteers under 18 are accepted only with a parent, but volunteers 14 and older are preferred. Sample activities: delivering food to recipients 3915 W. In addition to preparing food for recipients, volunteers can participate in administrative tasks and with the Buddy Backpack and Senior Care and Share programs. Children ages 7-15 can volunteer with an adult. Sample activities: inspect food and sort into packages, administrative tasks

12 HOUSTONMETHODIST THEWOODLANDS Houston Methodist The Woodlands volunteers are needed to provide support to various hospital departments and in the gift shop, registration centers, medical records department and food services. Houston Methodist also works with area organizations to provide pet therapy, crafts and entertainment items. Volunteers must get annual flu shots and be able to commit to at least one day per week for at least four hours.
