Our School: Founded in 1988, Cooper is a co-educational, pre-kindergarten through 12 college preparatory independent day school in The Wood- lands, Texas, a suburb 35 miles northwest of Houston. The 43-acre campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities which promote collaborative learning. Accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), Cooper is named in honor of Mr. John Cooper, an esteemed Headmaster at Houston’s The Kinkaid School, whose vision guided the inception of The John Cooper School.
