Food truck brings peace and love with Filipino cuisine Joan Guerrero, a native of Manila, Philippines, said she wanted to bring her culture and delicious food to New Braunfels, which is why she opened Peace.Love.Lumpia.
The lumpia bowl ($13.99) comes with six rolls and a half scoop of pancit, which is a mix of rice noodles, chicken and vegetables. Peace.Love.Lumpia also oers a pork adobo bowl, made with garlic-fried rice and soy sauce-soaked pork. “It’s real savory, and it can be either a bowl or a plate with more sides,” she said. The food truck also sells Ube cookies, which are purple yam-based cookies topped with powdered sugar. One more thing Guerrero said their goal is to open a brick-and- mortar in New Braunfels. “We literally want to spread peace, love and lumpia to the area,” Guerrero said.
Peace.Love.Lumpia opened in New Braunfels in 2024.
Guerrero said her mother, Jennifer Salas, and her husband, Daniel, helped her open the food truck in 2024. “We started o by selling lumpia to friends and family and kind of grew from there,” Guerrero said. What’s on the menu Peace.Love.Lumpia sells authentic Filipino food made by Guerrero’s mother—which she learned while growing up in Manila. The locally owned food truck serves lumpia, which are Filipino spring rolls lled with meat and vegetables, Guerrero said.
