The inaugural event will be hosted by the Greater Celina Chamber Foundation and is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. It will be held at the Southfork Ranch in Parker, which was donated by the ranch’s owner Centurion American. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Celina ISD’s Agriculture Department and the Celina Future Farmers of America chapter. Punk Carter, Celina resident and horse rancher, has dreamed of having an indoor arena in the city and said the rodeo is the beginning of it becoming reality. “It looks like our dream is finally coming true,” Carter said in a news release. The goal is to have a Celina-based arena in the next several years to host the rodeo, Celina Cham- ber of Commerce officials said.
