Austin LuLu Fest In its eighth year, Austin LuLu Fest celebrates women- led bands, including those who are well-established and newcomers to the music scene. Created to follow in the footsteps of the nonprofit Ritenuto Foundation’s Wall Street Jazz Festival, LuLu Fest includes genres such as jazz, Latin and Western swing. • May 11, 5:30-9:30 p.m. • $21.40-$31.60 • First Presbyterian Church of Austin, 8001 Mesa Drive, Austin • www.lulu-fest.com Mother’s Day at the Capitol The Austin Symphonic Band will host a Mother’s Day concert at the south steps of the State Capitol. Texas Burlesque Festival Designed for guests aged 18 and older, the two- day festival will feature more than 40 entertainers showcasing classic burlesque, cabaret, vaudeville and pop culture-inspired performances.
