Dining

Nestled within an oce building, Toastello was brought to The Woodlands area by owner Jackie Reyes on July 1 through a partnership with Third Gen Coee owner Marlon Reyes, who opened his coee shop in The Woodlands in 2017. “I partnered with my brother to oer Third Gen Coee products and open my own coee shop at a place that feels like home with home-cooked menu items,” Jackie Reyes said. What’s special about it? Toastello oers Third Gen Coee products spe- cializing in Honduran coee as well as breakfast and lunch items made from scratch such as the chorizo, egg and cheese taco as well as sandwiches and pastries. “Our breakfast tacos sell really quickly since we are located in an oce building,” Jackie Reyes said. “But I do want to make sure people know we are open to the public and are not run by the oce.” Sandwiches are made from scratch with focaccia bread, including items such as the cafe’s staple, the Toastella supreme made with Italian morta- della sausage, salami, provolone cheese, roasted peppers and arugula. With menu items with recipes originating from Reyes’ grandmother and mother, Toastello also oers pastries such as bagels, banana bread and cookies. To go along with its artisan sandwiches and par- ties, the eatery oers four signature coee options as well as coee classics such as cappuccinos and matcha lattes. Customer favorites so far include the Spanish latte made with condensed milk, cinnamon, a choice of milk and strong espresso coee, Jackie Reyes said. “The condensed milk gives the latte a particular taste that a lot of people seem to enjoy,” Jackie Toastello specializes in artisan sandwiches, pastries and drinks
