Preservation Phase 1 construction is expected to begin late spring and will wrap up in fall 2026. “This vision reflects what our community told us they want for the Imperial Historic District,” Mayor Carol McCutcheon said in a Feb. 3 news release. “When we say ‘our future’ in the vision statement, we mean Sugar Land as a whole—our city and our people.”
The request for quotation procurement process will run Feb. 25-March 27 with the master development partner selection this fall, officials said. Phase 1 of construction is expected to begin in late 2026 and last 18-24 months. Meanwhile, the first phase of the Char House preservation
