1 Austin Parkway intersection safety modification Project: The project will add a traffic signal and additional turn lanes at the Austin Parkway at the Commonwealth Boulevard intersection. Update: The design process is at the 60% plan phase and is expected to be complete in May. • Timeline: fall 2026-summer 2027 (construction) • Cost: $1.8 million • Funding sources: 2023 Fort Bend County mobility bond and 2024 Sugar Land bond

CREEKMOUNT DR. 2 Watts Plantation Road renaming Project: Missouri City is renaming Watts Plantation Road to Henry Watts Road to remain consistent with the new extension from Sienna Parkway to Knight Road, and from Shipmans Cove Boulevard to North Creekmont Drive. Update: The name change was approved at a Jan. 20 Missouri City City Council meeting. • Timeline: Scheduled to be implemented by the end of March • Cost: $3,000 for road signs • Funding source: city of Missouri City

3 Artificial intelligence-based traffic detection system Project: The project will install an artificial intelligence-based traffic detection system tool along the Hwy. 6 corridor, aimed at monitoring traffic conditions and improving traffic signal timing. Update: In October, Missouri City City Council approved a contract with Texas Highway Products. • Timeline: Completion expected in April • Cost: $619,500 • Funding source: city of Missouri City
