Fort Bend County Judge Democratic

If elected, what will be your top priorities? Grow revenue without raising tax rates: navigator, shop local, forge, foodie park, cook for a cause, best value contracting. Make spending visible: budget box, county in progress, [incident reporting management]. Build resilience: WATT Works, a published drainage schedule and fully staffed essential departments as revenues grow.

If elected, what will be your top priorities? Bring integrity and transparency back to the county; stop the budget deficits and “right size” the budget; stop casually using eminent domain; review all infrastructure plans; review all homeland security plans; address the veterans service’s deficiencies; address the concerns of animal rights groups. Priorities: Fiscal responsibility, debt reduction and tax mitigation for Fort Bend families. We’ll implement transparent budgeting practices and eliminate wasteful spending. With integrity at the core of my leadership, I’m committed to restoring public confidence through accountable governance that puts taxpayers first and ensures every county dollar is spent wisely. My priorities are public safety, county growth initiatives that attract new businesses, balancing and reducing the budget, auditing departments, reviving stalled infrastructure projects and funding community organizations so our courts and judges continue serving residents effectively.

I will make Fort Bend more affordable, strengthen educational opportunities and fight for our values. I’ll champion responsible budgeting, transparency and targeted tax relief while growing our commercial tax base. I’ll support roadway improvements, congestion relief and expanded transit options that equitably connect people to jobs, schools and healthcare. My top priorities include fixing existing roads, drainage and infrastructure before expanding, improving flood mitigation, strengthening public safety and emergency preparedness, and increasing transparency. I believe in practical, people-focused solutions that protect residents today while preparing Fort Bend for tomorrow.

My top priorities are public safety, responsible growth, infrastructure planning, flood mitigation and fiscal responsibility. I will focus on lowering property taxes, controlling spending and ensuring county services keep pace with growth without raising taxes or expanding government beyond its proper role.

Election

BY AUBREY HOWELL

KEY: *Incumbent

Fort Bend County commissioner, Precinct 2 Democratic primary

How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents? Managing growth starts with improving mobility and expanding county services ahead of demand. Investing early in roads, drainage, and service capacity helps accommodate new residents, reduces long-term costs, eases budget pressure and protects the quality-of-life existing residents expect.

If elected, what will be your top priorities?

My priorities are getting current projects across the finish line, improving quality of life for all residents, and ensuring no community goes without basic county services. This includes access to safe drinking water, effective drainage and flood control, quality healthcare services and public safety as the county continues to grow.

Grady Prestage* Occupation & Experience: county commissioner; registered professional civil engineer www.gradyprestage.com

Stop the continuing encroachment of industrial warehouses in residential areas of our community. Stop concrete batch companies from integrating with our residential neighborhoods Restore botanical beauty to the community parks of Precinct 2.

Infrastructure and transportation services will be my top priorities.

He testified at a Texas State Senate Committee against the use of incorrect pronoun designations and transgender transitions. This should have no place in our public schools. Patriotism and the benefits of free market economies versus socialist and communist economies must be taught. By Law, SB 24 requires that the State incorporate the teaching of the evils of communist regimes, the mass starvations, the terror under Stalin and Mao, the rise of communism in Latin America, etc. The provisions of the law must be incorporated into the TEKS for chapter 113 (social studies). This law is NOT on the list of new requirements on the TEA website! Why? He will pay attention to details and work to adjust the TEKS. Part of his testimony is shown below.
