5 North Carroll Avenue improvements Project: The work will focus on the Lake Wood Drive and SH 114 intersections, including hardscape improvements and traffic signal upgrades. Drivers can expect daytime lane closures from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday along North Carroll Avenue between Lake Wood Drive and SH 114. Update: The work resumed Jan. 5. According to a social media update, the median extension near Lake Wood Drive is complete. The widening of the entrance to the Carroll Pointe shopping center off North Carroll Avenue is underway, which includes closures of the driveway and sidewalk near Chuy’s. • Timeline: to be completed this summer • Cost: $1.05 million • Funding sources: city of Southlake, Texas Department of Transportation Completed projects 6 William D. Tate Avenue median work Project: Clean Scapes Enterprises completed median work between the 1000 block and the 1400 block of William D. Tate Avenue that added irrigation systems, electrical access, and stamped concrete end caps. 1 Austin Street reconstruction Project: Work includes the reconstruction of 800 linear feet of road, new curbs and gutters, sidewalks, barrier- free ramps and driveway approaches. Update: Grapevine City Council approved a contract to cover the repairs with Dallas-based Jeske Construction at the Feb. 17 meeting. • Timeline: May to November • Cost: $683,520 • Funding source: city of Grapevine, Tarrant County 2 Bedford Road bridge Project: Work includes elevating Bedford Road out of the Little Bear Creek floodplain between Somerset Boulevard and Saddlebrook Drive in Colleyville. Update: Colleyville City Council approved a preliminary design contract with Halff Associates at the Feb. 3 meeting. • Timeline: Preliminary designs are expected to take six months to complete. • Cost: $313,400 • Funding source: city of Colleyville
3 East Wall Street drainage improvements Project: Crews will install storm drainage along East Wall Street, west of Dooley Street to Austin Street, to eliminate a ditch in Grapevine. Once the drainage improvements are complete, East Wall Street will be a 31-foot-wide curb and gutter road with sidewalks. Update: Wright Construction Co. started on the project Feb. 2, closing portions of the road. • Timeline: Feb. 2 to mid-March • Cost: $182,995.50 Project: Superior Pipeline Services, on behalf of Atmos Energy, closed the southbound lane of Nolen Drive at East Southlake Boulevard for three weeks for gas line repairs in Southlake. Detours will route traffic from Southlake Boulevard to Commerce Street, then Exchange Boulevard, before returning to Nolen Drive, according to the city’s Facebook page. Update: The eastbound lane of East Southlake Boulevard is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the project, but business access will remain open. • Timeline: Feb. 23-TBD • Cost: not available • Funding source: Atmos Energy • Funding source: city of Grapevine 4 Nolen Drive gas line repair
