Election

BY JENNA STEPHENSON

Celina City Council, Place 4

Why are you running for oce?

What would your top priorities be if elected? My priorities will center on thoughtful infrastructure investment, strong public safety support and protecting Celina’s unique business and community culture. I also believe in strengthening neighborhood connectivity, walkability and green spaces. As we grow, we should continue building a city that feels connected and grounded.

I’m running because Celina is in a dening season of growth. As a local business owner and longtime community advocate, I’ve seen how City Council decisions directly impact families and local businesses. I want to help guide growth intentionally while preserving the character, culture and connection that make Celina special.

I am running to restore transparency, scal discipline and a community-rst approach to Celina City Council. After 27 years in law enforcement, including serving as Celina’s assistant chief of police, I want to bring tested leadership to City Hall and ensure residents have an independent voice representing their interests.

My top priorities are instituting strict scal responsibility to tackle our $1 billion debt, ensuring public safety and infrastructure keep pace with growth and mandating voter approval for all new municipal bonds. I will prioritize funding for essential services over taxpayer incentives for private developers.

We started visiting Celina in the mid 1990s, when we returned to Texas, we chose Celina, and this community to invest our lives in. That was 16 years ago and Celina has experienced incredible growth. I want to be a part of shaping our continued development.
