Conroe ISD shares local bond project updates The Conroe ISD board of trustees meeting dis- cussed ongoing and future bond projects through- out the district, including two in The Woodlands area, at the Feb. 17 board meeting. CISD voters passed a $1.9 billion bond package in 2023, as previously reported by Community Impact . What to know Kacy Arnold Elementary School, a new elemen- tary school to be located in the Grand Oaks High School feeder zone, will be completed in May, and the district will be able to move in during the summer, Foster said. It is located at 28378 Sterling Oak Drive, Spring, and will open in August. The Grand Oaks Junior High School and Ninth Grade Campus will serve seventh, eighth and ninth grades. LSCS celebrates record-breaking spring enrollment Lone Star College System kicked o 2026 with the highest spring enrollment in the institution’s history, ocials said Feb. 4. Two-minute impact LSCS saw a 6.4% increase in enrollment compared to spring 2025, with 97,221 students enrolled for the spring 2026 semester, per a news release. Ocials also reported a fall-to-spring retention rate of almost 80% for the spring semester, which began Jan. 20. The milestone builds o record-breaking numbers for fall enrollment in 2025, with 97,294 students taking classes last semester, Community Impact previously reported.
