Township adds new neighborhood park The Woodlands Township board of directors accepted a new neighborhood park into the township’s maintenance system March 26. The details Located within The Enclave at The Woodlands, a Tri Pointe Homes and Toll Southwest residential development in Creekside Park, the new park will now have the designation of being a neighborhood park. According to township documents, Enclave Park is 1.13 acres and will cost the township $38,500 to maintain and operate annually. What else? According to township sta, residents have expressed concern throughout the development of the park and surrounding homes that silt was allowed to build up in Lake Voyager, which backs up to Enclave Park. Tomball ISD approves later start date Tomball ISD students will receive an extra week of summer break following approval of the district’s 2026-27 academic calendar at a March 18 board meeting. Shenandoah City Council approved funding for expenses including Tasers and a bulletproof vest at its March 26 meeting. What to know The items are for the Shenandoah Police Department and the Department of Public Works. The Woodlands Township board is looking at ways to address growing cell service issues, direct- ing sta to begin pursuing a plan for bringing more cell towers into The Woodlands on March 26. What’s happening? Township IT Director William Pham presented some of the issues found by township sta regard- ing cell service in The Woodlands, which included a lack of adequate cell towers and population density. Pham said that historically, cell service carriers have not been able to add additional cell towers due to lack of available space within the township to place towers, which Pham said required roughly one acre of land per tower. “Everything that William said was a challenge is a challenge; we’re not saying it’s insurmountable,” Township President and CEO Monique Sharp said. “We just need the authorization because it will
