1 FM 1960 widening projects Project: This Texas Department of Transportation project consists of two segments—A and B—that will widen FM 1960 from a four-lane asphalt roadway to a six-lane divided concrete roadway, as previously reported by Community Impact . The overall project will add a raised median, curb and gutter, channelized left- turn lanes and a —ve-foot sidewalk on both sides of the road. Segment A runs from Business FM 1960 to east of Twigsworth Lane. Segment B continues to the western approach of the McKay Bridge at Lake Houston and also includes the construction of a new bridge. Update: Main lane concrete pavement construction in Segment A has been —nished, Bambi Hall, public information oªcer for TxDOT’s Houston District, said via a July 16 email. • Timeline: late 2021-late 2025 • Cost: $58.2 million (Segment A), $70 million (Segment B) • Funding source: TxDOT 2 Northpark Drive reconstruction and overpass projects Project: The Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority is overseeing construction of the Northpark Drive overpass and reconstruction project, Ralph De Leon, LHRA and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 10

Phase 2 will expand Northpark Drive from four to six lanes between Woodland Hills Drive and Russell Palmer Road, replace bridges at the Kingwood Diversion Ditch and the crossing at Ben’s Branch, and install drainage

infrastructure along the roadway. Update: Phase 1 of this project is ongoing with progress in July including pouring concrete and completing sidewalks and driveways, according to LHRA’s website. • Timeline: A April 2023-third or fourth quarter 2026 (Phase 1), B October 2028-October 2030 (Phase 2) • Cost: $149.6 million (both project phases) • Funding sources: city of Houston, TIRZ
