After 17 years in Cypress, the business is expand- ing with additional freezer and retail space. By September, it will o‰er more freezer meal options, a full retail space and more events, Liberta said.

After earning a degree in culinary arts and working in cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago and San Francisco, Kim Liberta landed in Texas in 2005 and opened Cookin’ with Kim in 2007. Meet the chef Liberta started working in the hospitality indus- try at age 16 and later attended culinary school. She worked in the profession for 19 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. After moving to Texas, Liberta sold Pampered Chef items and held cooking classes to demon- strate the kitchen tools, which eventually inspired her to launch Cookin’ with Kim. “When you get a group of people in a kitchen, whether you’re cooking together or around a
