After 41 years of operating at 5508 Burnet Road, Texas Mirrors & Doors is moving down the street to 2115 Northland Drive. Founded by Andres (Andy) T. Juarez Jr in 1981 he serviced Austin and the surrounding areas with glass related needs. He never thought he’d work in glass, but he enjoyed the challenge of his work, meeting new people, and solving problems, so it is no mystery why he did it for so long. He also never imagined his kids would take over the company. However, in 2011 he was joined by his youngest and favorite child Alejandro (Alex) D. Juarez. After working closely with his son for several years he thought it was time to take a step back and enjoy time off. Even though Andy passed the company to his son in 2018, Alex still calls his dad every day (usually multiple times) to discuss projects and to discuss the day to day struggles of running a small family business. Alex is constantly picking at his father’s brain for ideas and thoughts. Alex was able to trick his favorite sister (he only has one sister) into working with him. She has helped him become more efficient and has taken charge of the office allowing Alex to focus on projects.
