Hardin Store Road intersection improvements Montgomery County Precinct 2 is improving the Decker Prairie-Rosehill Road and Hardin Store Road intersections at Hwy. 249. The intersections will be widened and straightened. The precinct hired an engineering firm to work on design and is acquiring the right of way. Riley said the project will be funded by toll road revenue from the Montgomery County Toll Road Authority’s portion of the Hwy. 249 extension, and the precinct anticipates the project will go out for construction bids this summer. A second project on Hufsmith-Kohrville Road is also slated to get underway in 2023. Segment 3, which spans from Ezekiel to Holderrieth roads in Tomball, will widen Hufsmith-Kohrville from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard, according to Harris Coun- ty Precinct 3 officials. The segment is anticipated to begin construction in the third quarter of 2023. The project is in the design phase, according to Precinct 3 officials. According to Harris County Precinct 3 of- ficials, a project is planned to widen part of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road between Hol- low Glen Lane and Ezekiel Road. Known as Segment 2 of a larger corridor project, the project will widen Hufsmith-Kohrville from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard in the Tomball area.
