Resident River Parking Pass registration process moves online

The lot has served as a storage yard for the past 20 years and is part of the Headwaters at the Comal Master Plan—which looks to improve the empty lot and provide green space and parking for visitors and sta at the new Center at the Headwaters, Peña said. More details The scope of the project includes cleaning the 3-acre site; removing the existing asphalt; and installing rain gardens, native plants, trees and impervious pavers. Using green infrastructure, the site will also treat stormwater before it ows into Blieders Creek and the beginning of the Comal River, Peña said. The new lot—which costs approximately $1.1 million —is being funded between NBU, the Headwaters nonprot donors and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality 319 Water Improvement grant. Looking ahead Construction will begin as soon as the permit is awarded. Peña said the parking lot should be completed by October.

Individuals who were previously registered for a Resident River Parking Pass will need to register through the online portal. After a registration request has been submitted, approval of the pass will take approximately 24 hours. Once a resident receives a conrmation email they will be able to park for free, according to the news release. Residents may register any vehicles listed on their vehicle insurance policy. The registration link will be posted on the city’s website and social media April 1. The city of New Braunfels Resident River Parking Pass process went fully digital April 1, according to a news release. The previous process required residents to apply for a pass in-person at the Parks Administrative Oce, located at 110 Golf Course Road, or at Das Rec, located at 345 Landa St., during regular business hours. If a person’s application was approved, a physical sticker—valid for three years—was issued, the news release states. Under the new digital process, residents will need to submit their proof of residency and insurance information online. Then they will be issued a sticker-less parking pass that will be valid for one year, the news release states. The pass does not provide free parking at
