At THE TUTORING CENTER we specialize in helping children master academic skills, get better grades, and gain the con dence, motivation, and concentration necessary to succeed. Student of the Month: Noah
Our “Student of the Month” for January 2019 is Noah Lopez, a 5th grader at Katherine Johnson Clark Intermediate. His favorite subject in school is math. His teacher Mrs. McDaniel makes math fun and exciting. This holiday season Noah looks forward to spending time with his family, especially his brothers Luke and Evan.
Noah joined the Center in February 2018 because he wanted to improve his Language Arts skills. His mother heard about The Tutoring Center from a current family, and thought this would be good place to help Noah out. While Noah’s overall grades were OK, they knew Noah could be on the Honor Roll with a little extra help. Noah started in our Reading Program, which includes both reading comprehension and writing. The Tutoring Center’s fun, proven, unique, one-to-one instruction known as “The Rotational Approach to Learning” helps students from kindergarten to twelfth grade improve their con dence and self esteem while also strengthening their academic skills in math, reading and writing in order to succeed in school and life. For Noah, the results have been improved con dence with his reading skills and an overall improvement in all of his grades. In addition to academics, Noah is a great role model for all of us…he is always kind and respectful to both tutors and students. He even has a goal to raise money for childhood cancer patients. Noah did excellent on his Progress Test, is on the Honor Roll and even enjoys reading now. Way to go Noah, the hard work is paying off!
