New high school building to debut this fall

Center for Teaching & Learning to expand to serve high school students this fall

School officials announced last fall The Woodlands Christian Acad- emy’s new high school building is expected to open for the 2019- 20 school year following several months of construction. TWCA broke ground on its new high school building May 7, 2018. The 63,613-square-foot building will be the largest on campus to date and will feature 15 classrooms, three sci- ence labs, conference rooms, student gathering areas, and a lecture and performance hall. The new building will also allow the school to increase enrollment and eliminate eight modular

To better meet growing demand in the area, the Center for Teaching & Learning announced in December it will start enroll- ing high school students this fall, beginning with students in ninth grade, President and Head of School Linda Ellis said. Additional grades will be added in the years following. Currently the private school enrolls students in grades pre-K-8. The school opened in 2014 and offers a multiage learning environment and small class sizes. Additionally the CTL will relocate its campus from its location in Creekside Park Village to 25902 Glen Loch Drive, The Wood- lands, in fall 2021.
