ON & OFF THE MENU Tin Top Burgers & Beer’s The Double Dog Dare burger joined staples such as The Swineapple burger and Garlic Parmesan Fries earlier this year, albeit on a secret menu customers can ask for. Here is what insiders can expect from the restaurant’s spiciest oering as well as these other cooler dishes. 1 The DoubleDogDare is a hot pepper mash, chipotlemayo, onion rings, pepper jack cheese and a house patty. 2 The Swineapple comes with bacon, Swiss cheese, citrus avocado sauce, and grilled pineapple and jalapenos on a house patty. 3 Garlic ParmesanFries feature Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs layered over fries. The garlic Parmesan dressing is also available with tater tots.

Chase Piedfort, Lindsey Belk and Kyle Mylius opened Tin Top Burgers & Beer next to Rhea’s Ice Cream, which Belk owns. Mylius is also an owner of The Root Cellar Cafe in San Marcos. Along with a kaleidoscope of avors between two buns, Tin Top Burgers & Beer oers a family-friendly dining experience with a fenced and shaded patio well-suited for a meal after a day at Schlitterbahn or on the Comal River. The house patty is made with a combination of pork and Nolan Ryan beef, although alternatives include beef-only patties and vegan Beyond Beef patties, all of which are made smash style. “They’re smashed up pretty

released a secret menu this year with several special dishes, such as The Double Dog Dare burger, which is made with chipotle mayo and a hot pepper mash. Tin Top also sells a burger of the month. Recently, The French Dip Burger was oered with pastrami, Swiss cheese and grilled onions on a house patty topped with Cajun tiger sauce.
