The Montgomery County Hospital District has announced the completion of MCHD Station 15, located on West Semands Avenue in Conroe, according to a June 1 MCHD news release. The MCHD’s board of directors approved the purchase of the one-story, 1,593-square-foot home. The MCHD’s facilities team remodeled the home to t the needs of the MCHD Emergency Medical Services crews who will work out of the station to serve the 911 medical needs of residents in the area, the release stated. “We are excited to soon be moving our team into the new Station 15 in Conroe. This addition will help MCHD better serve the residents of central Conroe and help keep up with the growth and demand for 911 services,” MCHD CEO Randy Johnson said in the release. “The better situated our crews are throughout the county means better care for Montgomery County residents.” The MCHD hosted Conroe council members and management sta to view the new space, including Conroe Mayor Pro Tem Raymond McDonald.

April 22 groundbreaking, the development com- pany, Egrets Group, announced in a May 10 release. The 53,000-square-foot building will house medical oces including primary care, imaging, podiatry, dermatology, physical therapy, sports medicine and pain management, according to the release. A 10,000-square-foot retail center with an urgent care center will also be developed nearby. Construction is anticipated to take a year for the medical building. “The FM 1488 corridor is growing rapidly with more households and more businesses opening at an unprecedented pace,” Egrets Group principal Irfan Abji said. “Because of this, there is enhanced need to bring a variety of medical services to the area so people don’t have to travel into The Woodlands or Houston for quality care.”
