A cafe built on tness, food and family Growing up, Christian Guzman’s mother, Manuela Guzman, ran her own business in Missouri City called Homemade Gourmet. Christian Guzman said she would cook sandwiches and cakes in her kitchen every morning and then deliver them to local businesses, such as hair salons. Manuela Guzman had been supportive of her son’s growing career in the tness industry and would drive around with him as he searched for potential gym locations. When Christian Guzman began designing Alphaland, he said he knew that he wanted to bring his mom into the business. “The goal was always to get my mom involved with the gym and then get her a kitchen—like a com- mercial kitchen—to let her kind of expand on that business,” he said. “So, when I walked this property and found that they had a commercial kitchen, that just felt like all signs pointing to do it.” On the menu AlphaEats o ers a diverse range of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including breakfast sandwiches, Tex-Mex dishes, various pastas and burgers. Members can also enjoy co ee and protein smoothies or build their own bowl for $15. The cafe also features grab-and-go items, such as sandwiches, salads, pastries as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. A variety of 3D Energy drinks and protein bars are also available for purchase. A closer look As they created the concept of the cafe, Christian Guzman said he wanted the space to match the look of Alphaland. “AlphaEats is the same font [as Alphaland], but we added eats,” Guzman said.
The cafe’s breakfast menu includes avocado toast, protein wa es, pancakes and breakfast tacos.
